Getting Sea Stoked with Joel Fitzgerald

A couple of weeks ago, Gary Parker from Sea Stoke online mag asked me to take some photos of Joel Fitzgerald for an article they were doing on him for the fourth issue of the mag- which you can check out HERE. Sea Stoke is an online, independent publication that pays homage to the sea by exploring its relationship with humans. So needless to say I was pretty stoked to be asked to shoot a feature for the next issue.

The article – Joel Fitzgerald –  Not To Be Singled Out – is a pretty rad read, written by James Hathaway, it gives you a little peek into the world of this “enigmatic surfer and surfboard designer”…

So Joel and I teed up an afternoon to hang in his shaping bay as well as a couple of mornings out in the surf, hoping we’d score some waves and a couple of good shots for the article. I’ll let you decide on whether we got the shots or not…

A big thanks to Joel Fitzgerald for making the time and effort for us to put this piece together. Another big thanks goes out to James Hathaway who’s wicked words you’ll be reading in the article and to Gary Parker, the brains behind this awesome online magazine.

Get stoked and enjoy. xx
